A formidable clamp allows the M1 to securely be fastened to almost any flat surface. The locking measuring arm can be secured in place when not in use and deployed simply by pressing up on it. A large backlit display is controlled by substantial buttons allowing for gloved operation. The M1 Caliber contains a high accuracy encoder that converts the turns of the wheel (spun by material rolled underneath it) into a linear measurement. It simply measures anything that outputs what is rolled underneath it. The blade width is automatically compensated for each measurement with accuracy of +/- 0.5mm and precision (repeatability) of +/-0.3mm. The M1 can display all major English (inches and feet, fractional and decimal) and Metric (centimeters and millimeters) units of length ensuring it can be tailored to each professional’s needs.

The M1 provides functionality, robustness, and ease of use to minimize workflow disruption while maximizing productivity increases.
