Apple just announced the new iPhone SE or iPhone SE 2 or iPhone SE 2020, we are not sure what to call it but apple is calling it the iPhone SE. It is the newest iPhone that is available right now. The iPhone SE is back and it now looks just like an iPhone 8 but has some of the features of iPhone 11 and a price tag of the original iPhone SE from four years ago.
2020 has proven to be an exceptional year because just as Coronavirus pandemic has reached new levels, Apple has come out with an iPhone that is actually reasonably priced. The times have definitely changed because OnePlus has gone from offering phones for $400 to now releasing OnePlus 8 Pro for almost $1000. On the other hand, Apple has now released a $400 phone with some of the features of $1000 iPhone 11 Pro. Let’s check out the key features of the iPhone SE 2020.
Design
The original iPhone SE was based on the iPhone 5 as it shared the same body and shape. The new iPhone SE 2020 looks just like the iPhone 8 from 2017 with the Apple logo being in the middle. You will be happy if you always wanted a fingerprint sensor, as the iPhone SE still has the touch ID that doubles as the home button. The iPhone SE will come in three colors: Black, While and Red.
Display
When it comes to the display, the iPhone SE 2020 has 4.7-inch (diagonal) widescreen LCD with 1334-by-750-pixel resolution at 326 ppi. The display has True Tone, Wide color, and 625 nits max brightness with 1400:1 contrast ratio.
Performance
The outside design might be older but the internals have been heavily upgraded to match the current lineup of iPhone models. Besides the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, the iPhone SE 2020 is the only iPhone that has the latest A13 processor. If performance is what you need, you will not have to compromise with iPhone SE 2020. The iPhone SE has a smaller battery with 13 hours of video playback compared to 17 hours video playback on iPhone 11. You can charge the battery Up to 50% in 30 minutes with fast charging. The iPhone SE 2020 supports wireless charging with 30W fast charging. It also has stereo audio recording, haptic touch, and IP 67 water & dust resistance. The iPhone SE also has dual sim with eSim functionality.
Camera
The iPhone SE has a single 12 MP wide camera with ƒ/1.8 aperture, optical image stabilization and Digital zoom up to 5x. The 2020 iPhone SE has Portrait mode with advanced bokeh and Depth Control and Portrait Lighting with six effects (Natural, Studio, Contour, Stage, Stage Mono, High‑Key Mono). The camera system is taken directly from the iPhone XR. However, thanks to the brand new A13 bionic chip, Apple is able to use machine learning to take better photos with the new iPhone SE camera. Compared to the iPhone 11 camera system, the iPhone SE does lack auto adjustment and night mode features. The front camera is 7 MP ƒ/2.2 aperture with 1080p HD video recording at 30 fps. It is not a TrueDepth camera as the phone doesn’t feature face ID for capturing 3D information.

The most important feature of the new iPhone SE 2020 is the price tag. In the united states, the new iPhone SE costs only $399 (USD), which is the same price as the original iPhone SE from 2016. The new iPhone SE comes in three storage options: 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB. This is the best value you can find in any smartphone, period.
