Microsoft has finally introduced the Surface Book 3. While there is no major design overhaul to the exterior look and feel, the Surface Book 3 brings a significant performance bump over the previous generation. The device will be available in 13” or 15” sizes, featuring quad-core powered 10th Gen Intel® Core™ processors, NVIDIA® graphics and a high-resolution PixelSense™ Display designed for Surface Pen and touch. The 15 inch version of the Surface Book 3 provides 50% more performance than Surface Book 2 and up to 17.5 hours of battery life, making it the most powerful Surface laptop yet. The Surface Book 3 features up to 32GB of RAM and fast solid state drive (SSD).
Surface Book 3 balances performance with premium, lightweight materials for high performance in a laptop its size. Surface Book 3 is a robust laptop, powerful tablet with detachable touchscreen. The PixelSense™ touchscreen display looks great with small bezels in 13” and 15” sizes. For usage with Teams video calls or voice dictation in Microsoft 365 apps, the Surface Book 3 comes with dual far-field Studio Mics and Dolby Atmos® sound. The front-facing camera comes with 1080p HD. The Surface Book 3 has full keyboard and large, responsive all-glass trackpad and backlit keyboard.
Surface Book 3 provides up to 50% more performance in the 15” model than Surface Book 2 and the longest battery life of any Surface. When connected to keyboard base, you can get up to 17.5 hours of battery life with the Surface Book 3 15”. The devices now come with latest dual or quad-core Intel® Core™ i5 and i7 10th gen processors. For graphics performance, you have a choice of NVIDIA discrete GPU that comes with up to 32GB of RAM and the fastest SSD in the Surface lineup. For gaming performance, the 15 inch version of Surface Book 3 has an NVDIA GeForce GPU that can play the Xbox Game Pass (subscription required) for PC titles at 1080p in 60 frames per second. The Surface Book 3 comes with Dolby Atmos®. Microsoft Surface Book 3 is capable of running many performance heavy applications including SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Revit, Visual Studio, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop®, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Cloud®. Surface Book 3 can also connect to your devices: hook up to USB-C™ and USB-A ports, as well as your full-size SD card. In United States, the 15inch version has 2TB of space and 1TB outside the US.
Surface Book 3 comes with Windows 10 Home, including Windows Hello password-free sign-in. If you need additional enterprise management and security tools for the workplace, you can purchase Windows 10 Pro or purchase Surface Book 3 for Business.
